Nvidia GTX 680 vs AMD HD 7970




AMD is preparing their Radeon HD 7800 Series, based on Pitcairn gpu, to be released in March, while NVIDIA, with its most anticipated GeForce 600, is to launch new series in April.

According to DigiTimes, AMD will release their newest mid-range Radeon 7800 graphics cards in March. Radeon HD 7870, Radeon HD 7850 and later Radeon HD 7890 are expected to fill gap between HD7900 and HD7700 Series. You can check the specifications that we update regularly with all the rumours floating around the web: HD 7870, HD 7850.

On the other side, we have NVIDIA preparing their GeForce 600 Series with GTX690, GTX680, GTX660, GTX650 and GTX640 – all said to be based on GK104 and GK106 cores. According to DigiTimes NVIDIA will release up to 8 graphics cards models in April. So just after the dust settles after Radeons release NVIDIA will begin their offensive, and according to multiple sources it may take the lead in performance for some longer time.
